Just like getting gray hair or wrinkles and lines, losing teeth once seemed to be an inevitable part of growing old. But aging is not the main reason. Symptoms of Gum disease:
- Loose teeth
- Gums that have separated, or pulled away, from the teeth, developing a pocket
- Gum that is red-colored, puffy or inflamed, as well as tender
- Gums that are receding
- Pus in between your teeth and gums
- Sores in the mouth
- Bleeding while brushing, flossing, or even eating hard foodstuff
- A change in the way the teeth fit together when bite
- Continuous bad breath or a bad taste in your mouth
Prevention of gum disease:
- Get regular dental check-up
- Brush after every meal
- Stop consumption of tobacco
- Brush two times a day
- Take well balanced diet plan
- Start flossing one or more times each day
Gum disease Remedies:
- The most effective gum disease remedy would be to take sufficient time (at least 4-5 minutes) to brush and floss your teeth at least 2 times daily. Also don’t forget to rinse your mouth with simple water after eating small piece of any meals.
- Massage your gums and teeth with natural oils such as clove oil, eucalyptus oil or pepper mint oil. Do that twice daily and be sure you do not rinse off the oil. This is the best way of Reversing gum disease.
- Vitamin C, This vitamin when consumed as oranges, sweet lemons, lime juice, guava orAlmais considered among the best home remedies for gum disease.
- Natural aloe-Vera does apply directly to swollen gums and used to soothe the tissues in the mouth.
- Gargle your mouth with salt solution! This will also help cure gum disease.
- A few drops of olive leaf extract or tea tree oil on your tooth brush can arrest infection and eliminating the bacteria in the mouth.
- Reduce sugar consumption. This includes both treats and beverages that are full of sugar. If you do consume foods which contain sugars, brush your teeth right away.
- A mouth wash made from a mix of chamomile, echinacea and myrrh has been used successfully for the treatment of gingivitis.
Obviously, there are few other causes just like nutrition, smoking, genetics, poor occlusion (bite), as well as other systemic diseases. Bacterial plaque, however, is the main contributor to the gum diseases.
